Dear Evan-

The elves and I just got in from singing carols around the village square, we’ve all had our ginger bread cookies and warm milk and now it’s time to call it a night. The reindeer are all tucked in “snug-in-a-rug”- No, They REALLY are, the elves made each of the reindeer their own red velvet rugs to sleep on this year. Those little elves are so thoughtful!

Speaking of being thoughtful, I wanted to tell you how proud I am of you this year. That’s why I am writing you this letter. There were so many thoughtful and good deeds you did year, I lost count. It definitely put you on the top of my list! I know your mom and dad are super proud of you as well. Just as important, I hope you are proud of yourself. It’s not always easy making the right choices, so “Way to Go, Evan!

It is easy to get caught up in all parties and presents this time of year, we need to be mindful of the true meaning of Christmas, the celebration of the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. It is for Him we celebrate. It is His gifts of LOVE, GRACE, and FORGIVENESS that are the true gifts of the season.

The elves and I will keep you and your family in our prayers. Keep being kind and considerate not only to your friends, but even to those that seem a little different from you. Remember it was Rudolf's beautiful and bright, but different, red nose that lead us through that foggy night.
