Merry Christmas, little one!

You have been such a good boy/girl this year, and Santa is very proud of you. My little elves have been working all winter long to make very special gifts for all the children on my list, all over the world, and we’re making something extra special for you!

Can you do Santa a favor? This holiday season, be the best little boy/girl you can be. Play nice with your friends and family, and remember the Golden Rule: “do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” Now that can mean many things, big and small, but most of all, it’s up to you to figure out the right thing to do.

Remember when Rudolph was a very young reindeer with a bright red nose, and all the other reindeer laughed and called him names because he looked different? That made poor Rudolph very sad, and it made Santa sad too. I thought Rudolph’s shiny red nose made him a very special reindeer, and I didn’t want him to be ashamed of it. So one Christmas Eve, I asked Rudolph to guide my sleigh through the night, and you know what? That bright red nose of his steered us through the foggy sky better than ever! And all of the other reindeer were proud of Rudolph that Christmas and sorry they had made him feel bad for being different. And ever since, we’ve all tried as hard as we can to remember the Golden Rule up here at the North Pole.

So this Christmas Season, do your best to treat others with kindness and respect – even if they’re different from you. That will make Santa very proud of you, and it will make the world a happier place.

It’s a long, long sleigh ride from the North Pole all the way to your home in _________, so just before you go to bed, could you please leave a plate of cookies and a nice warm cup of cocoa by the tree for Rudolph and I? I like to have a little treat before I slide back up the chimney and take back off again into the Christmas night.
